 | Our Ministry to God is WORSHIP, not
merely a preparation for something else, but itself fulfilling the major
purpose of the Church with reference to its Lord (Col. 3 v 16, Eph 5 v19).
Freedom of expression in such worship is to be encouraged and valued. |
|
 | Our Ministry to our fellow Christians is NURTURE,
including teaching and pastoral care, (Eph.4 v12-13) because God gave the
Church gifted persons "to equip the saints for the work of ministry,
for building up the body of Christ" (Col,1 v28). To this end, all the
gifts that God has given by His Spirit are welcomed and valued. |
|
 | Our Ministry to Others is EVANGELISM
and MERCY, we are to "make disciples of all nations"
(Matt 28 v 19) and we are to do good to all (Luke 6 v 35-36). |
|
 | A strong church will have a balance of
effective ministries in all three area's , with individual member's
involvement being in proportion to their gift and abilities.
